Psalm 13:5-6

I don't know about you all, but music speaks to my soul. I grew up in a musical family, and some of my very favorite parts of worship are praising God through song. For some people, a scent reminds them of a specific period of time, and for some the taste or flavor of a certain food reminds them of that trip to Italy or a family tradition, but I have music - soundtracks of different playlists and songs that bring me right back to whatever fun I was having or struggle I was going through at that time in my life.

In my twenties I struggled with singleness (which is WAY more painful than infertility - shout out to my friends still on this journey - I love you, and just because I am now praying for all of the infertile women in this world doesn't mean I'm not still praying for you!), and Christy Nockels helped me get through those trying times. Although we have never met, she is like a spiritual mother to me through song. Her lyrics speak such truth and her melodies are so sweet. She just released a new album a few weeks ago, and I have been listening to it nonstop! I wanted to share her with you all, but also give you some variety, so I made a playlist of some of my most cathartic jams.

God calls us to worship him through song many times in scripture, and while I love to praise him with songs of joy, I also love to cry out to him with melodies that pull on my heartstrings and lyrics that speak of his faithfulness and truth. It makes up some of my most precious and intimate time spent with Him.

Friends, I hope these songs bring you peace, comfort and reassurance of God's huge heart for you.

"But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me." Psalm 13:5-6
